Can you recall the first time you realized you were going to be an illustrator? What were your earliest impressions? I've always been very restless, observant, and to a certain extent, nervous. I never really imagined myself as an illustrator, but I knew that I had to overcome those concerns. I recognize that I have a real interest in communicating this great knot of images, words, and concepts that surround me. I create my own language in my work. It excites me to use a language to connect with people who don't necessarily think like me or communicate in the same way I do. Included, are those people who don't come from an artistic environment; they also have stories to tell.
